Practice Summer Schedule until Friday, August 23rd: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 5:45 PM until 8:15 PM. The practice location is right across the school in front of Westpark, the address is 5601 Hillcroft St, Houston, TX 77036 - Map.

For all practices, please bring a white shirt, red shorts, red socks, own soccer ball and lots of water.

Youth Soccer (7 to 12 years old): The Southwest Soccer Academy announces that due great interest by parents and players, we will be forming younger teams (7 to 12 year old) that will be participating in local leagues.
If you know somebody interested, please bring them to our Summer practices (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 5:45 PM to 8:15 PM). We hope these players will become future Southwest students.

For Those Serious About Soccer and Academics!

May 1, 2013: The Southwest High School Boys soccer team defeated Yes Prep North Central by the score of 2-0 in the finals and they are now champions. Congratulations for the hard work and remember that is only the beginning.

May 2, 2013: Congratulations to the Middle School Boys Soccer team. Today the team became Houston Middle School champions by defeating Johnston Middle School by the score of 2-1. The team went undefeated the whole season and was never beaten. This is a really good team and it will only get better next year.

July 14, 2013: Congratulations to four members of our Southwest Soccer Academy: Jessie Ortiz, Daniel Bermingham, Osmar Chavero and Eddie Garza. They made the South Texas ODP team and they are currently in a week-long soccer camp at the University of Alabama training and competing with some of the best players in the United States. The function of ODP is the identification, selection, and opportunity for development of the state’s top players, and through high level training and competition, to provide the means by which these players are prepared to compete for selection for regional, national, collegiate and professional opportunities.

May 25, 2013: Congratulations to four members of our Southwest Soccer Academy: Osiris Ruiz, Alexis Herrera, Ronaldo Gonzalez and Francisco Montoya. They participated on the Alianza Tryouts and made it to the Under-15 second round of tryouts by playing against Houston Dynamo (only 18 out of 200 players were selected). Our players did extremely well and now will wait to see if they are selected to the 3rd round, which will be in California in September.

Saturday June 29, 2013: Congratulations to our girls team, the players scored their first goals ever and they won their first game ever. Congratulations to the team and Sinthia Brizuela who scored all three goals.

June 6, 2013: Over 50 seniors graduated from Southwest High School. Special congratulations to four of our soccer players: Julio Ortega, Veronica Hoyos, Nelmer Garcia and Erick Gomez. We hope you do well in your college careers.

March 26, 2013: Southwest Soccer Academy is getting a new practice soccer field across our school. We need to clean it up first from trash and then mow it. We hope it will be ready in 3 to 4 weeks. Here was day first of cleaning, we got 15 full bags of trash.

Dec 1, 2012: Team captains named for the 2012-2013 season. They are Nelmer Garcia for the boys's team and Veronica Hoyos for the girls team. They will lead their teams with effort, discipline and example.
