Southwest Schools Soccer Acedmy

Houston, Texas
Academic Requirements
The most important thing about the school's soccer program is to prepare students to go to college, therefore students are expected to make their class work their highest priority.

Students will be expected to maintain at least an average of 85 for all their classes and at least a 75 in all subjects. Students will not be allowed to practice or play in games if they do not maintain their grades and they will be placed on Academic Suspension.

Students not maintaining their grades will be placed automatically in tutoring instead of soccer classes. These students will be in tutoring until the teachers certify, in writing, that the student has exceeded the minimum grade standards. Academic suspensions should last from 1 to 5 days, depending on much work the student needs to do to achieve the minimum grade requirement.

Any student perceived not to be trying very hard to get out of Academic Suspension will be placed on probation for the soccer program. If under probation, the student is still perceived not to be trying hard in school, then the student will be suspended for two weeks from the soccer program. Multiple two-week suspensions may result in the students losing his/her spot in the soccer program.

Try hard in school so you have the privilege of practicing and playing in the school program.
